Native Education College

Helping Indigenous learners realize their potential in a supportive and cultural environment.

The Native Education College (NEC) was established in 1967 and founded by Ray Collins, who worked at the Departments of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. The overall objective was to provide Indigenous adult learners with academic and life skills to secure employment and improve their quality of life. By 1979, NEC became a private College, operated and controlled by BC First Nations.

"I'm former graduate from NEC.. I graduate in 1995 from ECE with highest percentage of my class.. The instructors taught with dedication, thoroughness and respect.. The class was limited in number made it easy for instructors to have time for every student.. totally enjoyed my time at NEC.. I'd recommend this learning institute.. thank you."
