Jenn Foreman – Registered Massage Therapy
Squamish born and raised, Jenn developed an early appreciation for the Squamish outdoor lifestyle.’ Growing up in the Sea to Sky corridor allowed her to compete as a mountain biker, soccer player, and paddleboarder. As well as a recreational weight lifter and snowboarder. Through these experiences, she developed a deeply connected interest and awareness of body mechanics. These experiences are what inspired Jenn to become an RMT and in 2012, she graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. As an RMT, Jenn seeks to facilitate improvements in an individual’s health by directly addressing and maintaining a patient’s range of motion and quality of life. Her passion for massage therapy has led her to utilize unique therapeutic approaches that incorporate the biopsychosocial model in her treatments. Understanding the importance of addressing not only the body but also the mind, by treating each person with a deep level of respect and compassion is an important approach during her treatments. She achieves this through guided practitioner/patient lead breathwork and the use of weighted bags to promote a deeper sense of mind-body connection and relaxation.
Jenns therapeutic skill set includes myofascial release, deep tissue work, pre/post sports massage, orthopaedic massage, and prenatal massage. She has also continued to develop a knowledge base by pursuing studies in the treatment of post-surgical adhesions, k-taping applications, and an in-depth look at prenatal massage. As well, she has attended intensive lectures regarding anatomy and mental health. She is always keen to take on the challenge of a complex case and is enthusiastic to educate patients on their health and well-being.
