ElderDog Canada Sunshine Coast
This Nationwide Non-profit Supports Seniors in the Care and Well-being of Their Canine Companions.
ElderDog Canada supports seniors in the care and well-being of their canine companions through a volunteer network that provides assistance with dog walking support, transportation to and from vet appointments, dog brushing, and temporary foster care when their owners are hospitalized. ElderDog also fosters/re-homes dogs when they are left without a caregiver, or when their owners move to a short or long-term care facility that does not allow dogs. All assistance provided is volunteer-based and provided free of charge. ElderDog Sunshine Coast has many volunteer opportunities including dog walking, fostering dogs, transporting dogs to the vet, as well as activities such as fundraising, event planning, and dog care support coordination.Links
