Cornelia van Berkel established The Blue Shoe Studio in 1979 in BC. Inspired by nature and wildlife she creates acrylic paintings on canvas and driftwood, giclee prints, cards and magnets, sea star hand painted ceramics and ornaments.
Cornelia attended art school in the Netherlands and is one of a select few Delft Blue Painters trained in Holland – a very traditional style of adorning ceramic items. After 34 years of a successful ceramics business Cornelia now concentrates on painting driftwood, canvases and wood.
