Four fabulous experience gift ideas for mom this Mother’s Day
If you’re tired of giving the same old types of Mother’s Day gifts, treat your mom with an experience instead. There are many types of experience gifts that will give your mother the chance to try new things while discovering different ways to have fun. Any of these four experience gifts will surely make Mother’s Day special for your mom and can help the two of you grow closer.
1. Historic Walking Tour
If your mom lives in an area with a lot of local history, she can learn more about the community by taking a historic walking tour. Many walking tours travel to old buildings that were once inhabited by notable people who helped shape the local area. You might even be able to find your mom a ghost tour to take if you think that she’d appreciate a little extra fright while learning about history.
2. Cooking Class
Your mom will be able to broaden her culinary horizons if you sign her up for a cooking class. She can learn to cook different dishes from international cuisines or simply brush up on old favourites. There are cooking classes that last just part of a day or span a series of a few weeks.
3. Wine Tasting
If she has a taste for wine, she’ll definitely enjoy sampling different wines from a local vineyard. Many vineyards offer tastings of different white and red wines as well as delicious snacks to enhance the experience. Some vineyards also offer extensive tours of their facilities and show participants the specifics of how wine is made.
4. Spa Appointment
A little pampering can go a long way on Mother’s Day, and booking a spa appointment for your mom can show her just how much you care about her wellbeing. Many spas offer services like personalized massages, aromatherapy and therapeutic body wraps. You may even find a spa in your mom’s area that offers mud baths to nourish the skin.
Giving your mom the gift of an experience can be an excellent choice this Mother’s Day. No matter what she enjoys doing, you’re sure to find an experience that will add even more brightness to her special day.
